Wick Development Forum

“What would you do to maintain the richness of the cultural and creative community in a place like Hackney Wick and Fish Island to build its long-term resilience for future generations?” – Wick Development Forum, 2015

The future development of Hackney Wick and Fish Island presents a unique opportunity to create a leading example of place making. Anchored by a rich heritage and a vibrant local creative ecology, Creative Wick works to ensure that Hackney Wick’s and Fish Island’s existing culture and creativity will long continue to drive business and future neighbourhood living. Creative Wick and the LLDC hosted the first Wick Development Forum on June 10th 2015 for local landowners, landlords, artists, creative practitioners, developers, workspace providers and managers, residents and members of the wider creative economy to come together to build relationships and start to discuss a possible shared vision for a permanent sustainable creative economy.
